Over 1 million Surfboards are produced every year, generating around 400 million pounds of CO₂ into the atmosphere.
As surfers we are inherently attuned to mother-nature and the environment
This is why at Eco Evo Surf, we are on a mission to slash carbon emissions created from surfboard production. Already with our current design (which continually improves), each board generates half the carbon emissions of a regular 6'0 performance short board.
FUN FACT: Did you know that a single tree can absorb 48 lb CO₂ per year & have an average life span of 60 years?
THE NUMBERS
5 trees absorbing 48 LB CO₂ = 240 LB per year!!
This means that an EXTRA 40 pounds of CO₂ is absorbed from the earths atmosphere in the first year. And an additional 240 pounds of CO₂ EVERY YEAR AFTER THAT.
